Modi Higher Secondary School, Jalore

Modi Higher Secondary School is held as a long, low teaching block set back behind a lawned forecourt, with the flagpole line marking the entry. Keeping the building low and linear gives every classroom a direct relationship to open ground, and makes supervision across the school straightforward.

The site covers two acres with approximately 2 lac sq.ft of construction.

Brick and render were chosen for maintenance as much as appearance — a school facade has to survive decades of use. In finishing stages.
